Fundraising is Organizing: Transform your Political Anxieties into Money and People Power
Action is the antidote to despair." —Joan Baez
Turn your anxiety into action by raising money for the causes and organizations creating a more just, sustainable, and democratic world. By participating in this campaign, you'll not only help raise crucial funds but also develop valuable fundraising skills and contribute to a sense of unity and collective action.
Host a gathering at your home or other location between August 5th and October 28th to discuss anxieties related to the current political climate, share what gives you hope, and support the causes and organizations creating a more just, sustainable, and democratic world. As Joan Baez says, "action is the antidote to despair."
As a campaign participant, we ask that you:
Select a cause you’d like to raise funds for. This could be a local grassroots group, national organization, mutual aid fund, or other progressive movement cause. For resources on how to decide what to raise for if you don’t yet have a cause in mind, check out our Library.
Host a house meeting sometime between August 5 and October 28. A house meeting is an informal gathering at your home or another suitable venue where you bring together people from your network to discuss anxieties related to the current political climate, share what gives you hope, and take action together. In this campaign, the action you take together will be contributing to the cause, building a list of others you can ask, and inviting them to join you.
By signing up to join this campaign, you will receive support from Donor Organizer Hub:
